Gov. Delta to village chiefs: “Assist, prioritize sick people”

JASMINE D. JASO

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda urged village chiefs to assess and identify citizens undergoing dialysis, chemotherapy, and other medical treatment in their respective barangays.

This, after various local government units (LGU) in the province set up checkpoints to control the movement of people as part of the preventive measure imposed to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

He also told the barangays to immediately coordinate with the city or municipal government the names of patients need to be given access to other areas.

Furthermore, Governor Delta said that not everyone has their own vehicle, there are some who are struggling, especially now that public transport facilities are suspended.

Aside from this, the governor also asked the help of each barangay in identifying individuals manifesting flu-like symptoms, such as cough and cold.
